Kindfund

Kindfund is supporting 80 elderly widows with 1Kg of maize flour per week at N'garamara in the Turkana area between Isiolo and Archer's Post, N Kenya. Enough for 20 cups of porridge or 3 or 4 portions of ugali.

The Turkana live in a semi-arid pastoral area where many, particularlay children and elderly, suffer from malnutrition. The Turkana tribe in Kenya are the worst hit by famine at this time.

Food: 90kgs Maize from £12; 90kgs Beans from £25 - commodities so prices vary. One bag of maize and half a bag of beans feeds one person for approximately 2 months.
