22nd March 2008 Manoo

This week we have been adjusting to the cold and enjoying the lengthening days. We have developed 250 photos and by Friday had associated approximately half the photos of sponsored children with their reports and begun to make a list of the few that we have missed. Five sponsor reports and photos have been sent out to first time sponsors.

Phil and Liz have been busy while we were away. He has kept the bank up to date with lodgements, issuing receipts and sponsorship forms. Liz has spoken at a women's meeting and sold jewellery to the 'Fri night old time dance group.' Fri I have made a first draft of the March/April prayer letter which we hope to issue next week after Easter.
Already we have been checking flight options for June and we plan to book this weekend along with Maureen who will be travelling out with us and staying for 2 weeks.

On Fri Pamela and I met Sam Balmer in Enniskillen about the Bible material. He was keen that we are adequately supplied with the monthly lessons. He particularly wanted the children in our programmes to have originals and not be working on photocopies. After discussion he agreed to ship 48,000 lessons to Nairobi to be collected by us. Sounds a lot but it is 500 lessons at the four levels over 2 years. The kids in our area will be so enthusiastic as the material is excellent. It will teach them the bible and English at the same time. The primary schools will be pleased to let us take classes. Pray for Clifford as he looks for the right people to present these lessons.
