Wamba 2nd April 2008

Spoke on telephone this morning to Cliff and Nancy. They are at Wamba and needed to discuss a few things.

The foundations are now complete for the main house for the 48 children. They will be preparing the foundations for the washrooms and digging the pit latrines over the next few days. There will then be a pause in the building for three to four weeks as the brick making team come on site. The bricks will require 3 weeks to cure with water being poured over them every day.

Stephen Cowan and Duncan will be bringing the machine on a trailer from Tuum a difficult journey which could take up to 12 hours.

Our own landrover had a gearbox problem and Locham had been left at Lareta half way between Ngaremara and Wamba to fix it this morning and follow on to Wamba. Nancy had been told that he was almost ready to drive again while on the phone to me. Pray for travel and transport in this difficult terraine.

The saga of site registration and our struggle to get title deeds continues with more hurdles to jump. New ones that had never been mentioned before. In Nairobi last weekend Nancy had to put another advert in the Daily Nation this time in Swahili and we have to wait another 60 days. Pray that the Lord will clear the way for this process to be completed and the expense finished.

Nancy had a good weekend in Nairobi having a break and retreat at her sister's home. Continue to hold her in your prayers.
