Work on the  home continues to progress at Wamba. We expect the roof to be on when we arrive next week.

Two new wells and hand pumps for the Rendille

At the AGM we received a gift for one new bore hole and hand pump. We now have had confirmation of a second gift which will allow us to honour our committment to two Rendille villages in February this year. The committment, that we would bring clean water to their villages, was made at the commissioning of our first hand pump for the Rendille at Losai .

We expect work to start on the kitchen in September. The British Army who have agreed to complete the project to help the orphan feeding programme will now try to meet the cost from their own budget for projects. We have been asked to hold £2,500 as a contingency.

Summer Visitors

Preparations are well underway in Kenya and here at home for those travelling later this week and the beginning of July. We plan to make progress on a number of projects and will also be looking for a Diesel 4 wheel drive about 10 to 15 yrs old to complement the 1979 landrover which needs to be taken off the road for an overhaul and conversion to diesel.
