While in Nairobi with Linda and George we saw the hand of God in our land registration issue for Wamba.
Last time Nancy had been there she had been told that the handwriting on the plans by the Physical Planner from Marallel had to be typewritten. We now had the copy of the advert from the Nation in Kiswahili which was another condition subsequently imposed. We decided after prayer to go to the Lands Office. The officer was not there and we were leaving when we bumped into the Physical Planner from Marallel to discover that he had now been transferred to Nairobi and he was the man to progress our application to the Minister. He agreed to have his handwritten noted typed and we were able to leave all with him to continue the process. Praise God we will check when next in Nairobi.

Early August has been a time of buying food and delivering to our children. Maize is more than twice the price it was at the beginning of the year. We are now buying and transporting almost 3,000kgs of food per month. Maize, beans, flour, fat, salt, omo, bar soap, vaseline and vegetables. We are trying to organise our store and admin to  cope with the increased volumes. The absence of a second vehicle is becoming a real problem and we are thankful for the skill of our mechanic for keeping the vehicle on the road in such difficult terraine.

Please continue to pray about our transport arrangements. We have several feelers out and trus one of them will bear fruit soon. Meantime next week we are going North to Tuum where Steven Cowan's team will convert out landrover to diesel. Pray that we have a successful conversion without problems as we need the car immediately. The following week we have the DVD team coming and we will be visiting Rendille and Wamba.

Mentioning Rendille reminds me that our well diggers reached water at 32 feet at Losidan and will continue to dig to 46 feet. We will bring up the Afridev hand pump which we have in our store. What a blessing for this village. Clean water praise God. We still have another well to dig after the men have a break. When with the
Rendille we also have to visit the 6 locations for proposed new nursery schools.

Already young people have begun to arrive for Holiday Bible Clubs during the next three weeks. Please continue  to pray for a breakthrough and for a new generation of disciples.

I am looking out at trees blowing in the wind as a result of the faithful watering of our men here on site and
the skill of the watchman keeping the elephants away at night. We have had a couple of close escapes but the combination of watchman, dog and bright torches have saved our trees. Pray for protection as this is becoming a garden in the desert and a witness to our God.

Thank you for your prayers

Be blessed

Pamela and Ken
