# For to us a child is born

The Lord sees our hearts, understands our motives and takes pleasure when his children are kind to the poor and needy.

Under the Christmas Decorations

As I write Christmas eve has slipped into Christmas morning so my first prayer is for a happy and peaceful Christmas to all our children and staff, friends and supporters in Kenya and around the world and to our Kindfund team here in Northern Ireland.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Thank you to those of you, our fellow workers who hold this work of love before the Lord faithfully in prayer throughout the year and to those who have been led to donate something extra at Christmas. The Lord sees our hearts, understands our motives and takes pleasure when his children are kind to the poor and needy.

Your generosity allows us to give a little extra at Christmas and in addition to our own children we have provided a token of God’s love to other children to enable them to celebrate.

Our photos show our own children at Wamba underneath their hand made Christmas decorations in the dining hall, a small Sunday School who were able to celebrate under a tree at Merille, Marsabit County as a result of a token of our support and the final photo taken a few days ago shows 2 of several of our children who have been struck with a virus probably mumps which reminds us of all who suffer in this world as we celebrate.

Today, more than ever we need the Mighty God of Love, the Prince of Peace and the Wonderful Counsellor who broke into this world at Bethlehem to reconcile all creation to God, providing the only cure for the Fall and the awful state man has fallen into as he speeds on his way to judgement. It is clearer today than ever that the world cannot continue on this trajectory.
Still there is time and God’s call for repentance and acceptance of his cure for our ills – believing on the Lord Jesus – needs to be preached to all who will listen across the world.
We encourage you brothers and sisters to “Be still before the Lord” Like Habakkuk “stand at the ramparts” He alone can give you understanding and reveal his plans for your life.

Kindfund was established as a charity in 2004 to further the gospel of Jesus Christ and to help relieve poverty amongst some of the poorest tribes in northern Kenya, working with the pastoralist Turkana, Samburu and Rendille.

We currently use 5 tonnes of food and supplies per month, providing for 125 children in 4 homes and 250 children in nursery and primary education.

We have dug 7 wells and fitted 7 handpumps, bringing safe water to remote villages.

100% of gifts go to Kenya.
